2024 Recipients

Kennedy Blanchard
1st Place - Kennedy Blanchard
Co-President of her chapter, Kennedy has been a part of the program for four years, gaining valuable experience, advice and life lessons from the veterans she has interviewed. She has written eight stories of veterans from every conflict from World War II to the Global War on Terror. Kennedy has been able to serve her community by ensuring that these veterans’ stories are honored, and preserved for history. This fall, Kennedy will attend the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Business Management, minoring in political science.
Valerie
2nd Place - Valerie Maynard
Valerie joined her sophomore year and has been an involved member for three years. During her time in the program, she has had the opportunity to write three veterans’ stories. Valerie met with the American Legion to ensure that their members could be interviewed and have their service stories preserved. She plans to carry the valuable lessons she learned from each veteran she interviewed with her throughout her life. This coming fall, Valerie will attend the University of Arizona majoring in pre-professional nursing.
Aeriel
3rd Place - Aeriel Bransky
Aeriel first joined Imprints of Honor because she wanted to pay her respects to veterans and document their stories. She has been in the club for three years, currently serving as her chapter’s Vice President. During her high school career, she has written five veteran stories. Ariel has always fostered a love for writing and has tremendous respect for the armed forces, so joining this club was a natural decision. This fall, she will attend Pima Community College and plans to major in speech pathology.
Angelina Jakubek
Above and Beyond - Angelina Jakubek
Angelina has been a member for three years, serving as her chapter’s President for the past two years. As president, she stepped into the leadership role helping her fellow club members navigate the interview process and reading and editing drafts of essays. Since joining, she now makes it a point to shake the hand of every veteran she sees and loves the connections she has made with them. Angelina will attend Northern Arizona University and plans to major in biological medicine with a goal of earning a PhD in pharmacology.

Jack Fox
Jennifer Caitlin Campbell Memorial Travel Scholarship
Jack has been involved with the program for three years and has conducted two interviews. Since joining, he has participated in St. Joseph Academy’s annual September 11th Memorial and Veterans Day assemblies, Book Signing Receptions, and Wreaths Across America Ceremony. After graduation, Jack plans to attend the United States Air Force Academy or participate in AFROTC to service his country and follow in his parents’ footsteps.
Robie Matthews
Jennifer Caitlin Campbell Memorial Travel Scholarship
Robie joined the program as a freshman and now as a high school junior he has completed three interviews with veterans ranging from WWII to the Cold War. From a young age, Robie has loved and been fascinated with military history. He currently participates in World War II reenactments across the country, serving as a medic. After graduation, Robie plans to attend college to become an aeronautical engineer.
Kayla Kohler
Lambert Family Scholarship Fund
Kayla joined her sophomore year of high school because she wanted to make a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed for our freedom. She has gained life lessons and a greater understanding of each veteran’s sacrifice. This year, Kayla has served as her chapter’s vice president and through this position has strengthened her communication skills. This coming fall, Kayla will attend Grand Canyon University majoring in nursing.
Raul Sias Peralta
Boeggeman/Jones Civic Engagement Scholarship
Raul Sias Peralta has been a member for two years, serving as his chapter’s Secretary during his junior year. His first year he focused on the volunteer aspect of the club. This year he elected to fully participate in the interview process, publishing two veteran stories as a senior. He found the process completely rewarding and learned the valuable lesson of “never backing down” from one of his veterans. Raul will attend NAU, majoring in history for secondary education.

Copper Star of Knowledge Scholarships

The Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society (AVHOFS) provides three scholarships each year to students who have maintained an excellent scholastic standing, demonstrate qualities of leadership and good moral character, and are active participants of a VHP Chapter.
